Online Calligraphy Lessons/Classes 2016
Some beginner calligraphers don’t have the time to take classes locally or even the access to teachers in their region of the globe. Fear not, thanks to the internet, you can take lessons online and learn from some of the best instructors around. The following options are video based lessons and classes to help you learn the basics or even a more advanced aspect of lettering arts. Many of these classes are ongoing and open for enrollment while others will have specific time frames during which you can register.
Skillshare Classes with Alice Young– This series of three ongoing video lessons entitled, “Strong Lines”, is available at Skillshare. You will learn how to use a Pilot Parallel Pen as well as basic calligraphy strokes while doing fun and engaging projects. View the supply kits for this class!
Paperfinger Classes at Skillshare– Taught by Bryn Chernoff, there are four ongoing classes to choose from or go ahead and take all of them. View the supply kits for this series!

Bettering Our Lettering with Connie Chen– This online video course goes for 26 days with a video lesson for each day. Online Correspondence Classes with Harvest Crittenden– These online classes are taught by master penman, Harvest Crittenden. Each year, new classes are opened for registration. Visit the Acorn Arts website for more information on this year’s offerings and other instructional videos.
